Starting the new year with a bang

Some say that however you start the new year is how you’ll spend it. That’s the logic behind rolling out luggage and avoiding housework. I kicked the year off writing and on Thursday had my new year essay published as a guest post over on Wolf.

It’s a deeply personal piece that started as a conversation with my first best friend. Some of you may have already read it or heard of it. If you’re really lucky, you’re one of the supporting characters ;)

When I decided to relaunch the newsletter, I struggled with how to address my silence. I knew there would be curiosity especially since I began with heavy output. I have a backlog of things I’ve been meaning to say. But mostly, I’m happy to report that I’ve just been living.

I guess my new year mantra is just that: live. And not just live but live fully. And, yes, I will leave my absence unexplained. Happy Monday, everyone.
