I wore my red dress out last night (to Beckett’s excellent soirée) Read a little. Share a little. Dance the night away 💃🏽
The evening started with stellar readings by Nico Walker—especially a particularly moving, loving ode to Rachel Rabbit White. His performance was followed by the poetry of the incomparable Dorothea “Dot” Lasky.
Clips are on my instagram stories (@/ellemzeee) with highlights to follow shortly. For now, enjoy these: Cheers!

Revel in the classics. Enjoy a little opera and dance a little disco with the singer.
Valentine’s Day can be bittersweet. My uncle passed away on a 13th of February. February in general is an often cold and cruel month. It’s not cold in the country of my family’s origin but there is something to it. My grandmother also passed away in February and coincidentally, on the 27th, same day of Dominican Republic’s Independence Day and start of the carnival season. Yet again, another instance of the bittersweet nature of the shortest month of the year.
